Night Swimming,
remembering that night
September’s coming soon
I’m pining for the moon
And what if there were two
Side by side in orbit around the fairest sun?
That bright tight forever drum
Could not describe night swimming

R.E.M Night Swimming

NIGHT SWIMMING is an ALASKA Projects touring group exhibition as part of an exchange with Adelaide based ARI Fontanelle.
In August 2014, Fontanelle will stage a return exhibition at ALASKA Projects, Kings Cross.

The exhibition brings together a disparate group of Sydney based artists for ALASKA’s first South Australian exhibition.
NIGHT SWIMMING  looks at themes of love, loneliness, difference and form.

ALASKA Projects is a Sydney based multidisciplinary art space.
Since opening in October 2011, ALASKA has held over 50 exhibitions and shown the work of over 250 artists.
ALASKA Projects was awarded an Fbi Sydney Music Arts and Culture Award in 2013 in the category of Remix the City for
the most interesting use of space in Sydney.

ALASKA Projects is supported by Australia Council for the Arts, ARTS NSW and The City of Sydney
