This is leisure*.

From passive entertainment to architectural influence, the way in which we spend our free time has collectively shaped the changing values of society, and our contemporary way of life. Or, is it the other way around?

Through works by Aida Azin, Maxime Delvaux, Chris Dolman, Henry Jock Walker, Luke Wilcox and Meg Wilson, this exhibition presents a realm in which to reflect on the various ways and places we spend our downtime; the ‘balance’ of our ‘work-life’. While we actively structure and organise our work, we might rarely place the same awareness or value on how we participate in our leisure-time. Through performances within the gallery, and a program of public events in various locations throughout the exhibition’s duration, experience Leisure as spectator, participant, consumer and thinker.
